Sooo, life is a mess right now. Not my life in particular, but all the people around me seem to be melting. It's like no one pays attention to anything anymore, and everyone just keeps talking and ignoring and blah blahh. I'm tired. Lisa's out of the country for this month, so I've been terribly bored. I started working at Atcha bakery about a month ago, so that's pretty fun. The band is finally starting to pick up. God knows where that will go. I'm just so tired of being surrounded by crazy people all the time. Crazy people doing crazy things allllll the time. I'm going to Jordan in about a month, which I'm sure will be a well needed vacation. Summer is supposed to be soooo chill. Soooooo soooo chill. What happened to everyone?

What's happening to everyone? Everything seems so bad nowadays, and everyone is so sad. Gas prices are high, everyone seems to just be getting by, and things are just all around not good. Garrett Bailey's in jail again, and even more seriously, so is Daniel. This is the last thing Daniel's little brother needs right now. Why don't people just think sometimes. On a different note, I'm not doing so bad. School is super busy, and I think I'm working too much. I'm buying a new bass! After that, not so much work. I miss all my friends. I'm recording a new cd with little Michael and Andrew. Hopefully it'll change the world. I'm tired of coming home, just to go to sleep and wake up and start the same things all over again. I'm tired of how silly I feel writing this down here. In spite of all this, things really are great. Lisa and I are doing wonderfully, music is fun again, and it's Ramadan. Everyone cheer up, 2 Girls 1 Cup.

Update time! Summer has been coming oh so lovelyly, that's that new word. Real. I've been keeping to myself for the most part, especially since I have a billion days off of work while we're moving. I've been spending my days making lots of music, listening to lots of jazzz, buying a bunch of records, skateboarding, and reading! That's right, Jermaine reads books. I'm now cool and learned like the rest of you chaps. I got some fresh new kicks in today! I was slightly turned on by the last third of that Isaac Asimov book, The God's Themselves. Mmmmm Selene. Uhmmm, I can't think of too much else. I'm gonna need to be getting married pretty soon, if anyone has any sweet wife hookups, Holllllaaaa! I saw Gretchen Ratterman at the skatepark today! Ain't that some mess. I also think that me and my comrad(e?) Nic will be starting a nice little skate website with all the sweet spots around town. gNaRkiLl BrUh! I love exotic gatorade flavors, And Turner Classic movies! Oh goodness! How could I forget, there was this lovely movie on last night, The Battle of Algiers. Twas wonderful. Almost as wonderful as this serious beard length I'm bustin. Chris Haslam. I'm about to attempt and read House of Leaves again... Scooby Doo. I enjoy music. So, everyone, get happy! It's summertime. I've also dedicated a small bit of time to downloading all of the old Bone Thugs N Harmony albums. Fo Da Love of Money! Please, no Crossroads comments... JK! I loved that song too.
In Retrospect, life is...

Well then, in light of the vagueness that's plagued livejournal since it's inception, I'll keep everything clear as day. It's been a while since I've posted in this thing, and I guess the only reason I'm back is because I've got that feeling. You know, whenever you just want to learn everything, but you don't know where to start? Well yeah, it's like that right now, ha. Life's been nice lately though. I just got a new job at La Madeleine's in the mall, all kinds of cute girls there, music is coming really well as always, and college is college. I think I'm wasting my spring break away. I did manage to go to the library the other day and pick up this wonderful book, (Against Stupidity) The Gods Themselves (Contend In Vain). I've got some horrible malady that's come over me and I've been coughing out of control. Moms just gave me some medicine, the pill kind, I hate the feeling of those things going down my throat. I hate the tast of syrup though too. Where does that leave me? Exactly. My beard is becoming large and unruly. Sunnah. My recent obsession in hiphop is starting to overtake my life. 60's soul samples and drum breaks are running through my head all day. (J Dilla - Mash). I watched Ghost Dog about an hour ago. I thought it was going to be the stupidest movie in the world, but it was actually pretty good. I enjoyed it atleast. Don't even get me started on 300. Momma bought some grapes, grapefruit, strawberries, and fruit roll ups yesterday. I think I was destined for world domination, sooner or later, hopefully sooner. I feel like I'm in Elementary school again. Except with a car. I just downloaded a song in soulseek and it took a second. Literally a second. Napster used to take me days, and this just took a second. Real! I should be getting married in a few years. How's that gonna go down? Of course, I'm just as confused as you. I met a guy from Jerusalem the other day, and he showed me some of his calligraphy, it was really good. I think his name was Asif. Why's it seem like everyone is changing for the worst? And why's it seem that everyone does drugs now? Is it really that cool. Is that weed really that fly? Iz dem pillz relly dat tite? But on the upside, I've got a lot to look forward too. I'm only 19! I hope everyone is staying safe and happy. Hit me up sometime, God knows I miss you all. Salaam.

Sooo, everyone else is remembering this past year, so I thought why not write down some important events that happened to meeee.. Alhamdu-lillah.
Lets see, I went on tour this summmer! Graduated from Highschool, and of course had my first wonderful semester at LSU. Converted to Islam. Alhamdu Lillah! Fell in Love with Reggae and Soul music. Figured that there's really nothing to worry about. Saw 1000 and 1 beautiful girls my first day of college. Celebrated Sukah with the Jew kids at school and met some of the nicest people ever. Had my first Eid ul-Adha. And it was the greatest thing in the world. New mosque opened yesterday! Started working at the Italian Pie, which I'm still at. Found Sherwood Poboy and their amazing Shrimp Poboys. Visited THE moon for the first time. Turned freaking 18! How can I forget that. Slept in a bed with two other girls, hahaha. Istaghfurillah. Grew my first beard, hehe. Finally accepted that I don't need a girlfriend to be happy. I'll add more as I remember them throughout the day. Insha'Allah, 2007 will be a good year. As-salaamu alaikum!

So, it's definitely 1:30 Thursday morning, and I'm at the Middleton Library pulling an all nighter for my Geography exam at 7:30 in the morning. Haha, how college can you get? Alhamdu Lillah. I do believe, it's ridiculously quit in here, and the humming of machines at the CC's behind me is detremental to my studying atmosphere. And with saying that, I wish everyone good luck on their exams and a happy holidays. As-Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah wa Baraakatuh!

xravenousdebrisx: Boo. GreenEyes8625: boo who? xravenousdebrisx: Boo you. GreenEyes8625: boo to you too xravenousdebrisx: Two boos to you too. GreenEyes8625: and a hip hip boo hoo to you too xravenousdebrisx: I think I might trip on your hip hip boo hoo to you too in lieu of your derring do. GreenEyes8625: don't trip on the boo hoo, i'll save you in lieu of your daring too xravenousdebrisx: Oh Stephie boo, I'll try not to trip on the boo hoo, whilst you save me in lieu of my derring do, but you too are in lieu because of the present poo on your new shoe. GreenEyes8625: ohh jelly boo bean i knew you were thinking of something boorilliant while warning me of the poo on my shoe..but don't fret yet because you might step in the poo too xravenousdebrisx: Au contrare mon frare, don't you fret your little hair at the scare of poo present from the mare, for I dare to even care at such a small share, but lurking in my lair are the pears I repair from the damage of winter's scare. GreenEyes8625: oooo nice. i won't fret my hair at the scare of the mare poo, but boo why do you lurk in your lair with the pairs, winter is no scare when i'm out there and the sunshine will melt the air xravenousdebrisx: Psh, don't you even go there. Me without my pear is like a beat without a snare, I dare to tear into you're ego, we go, way back like Jesus and his people, in leviticus, god made this word, you can't get with this, sweet like licorice, dangerous like syphillis. xravenousdebrisx: :-) GreenEyes8625: hahaha i like the part about the snare but i will go there and eat your pear so you won't have the energy to beat my ego because i go on and on forever like god and his word and this won't be like that last thing that you've heard. xravenousdebrisx: Oh but Muhammad once said, that Jermaine would rather be dead, than to let you go ahead and paint Baton Rouge bloody red, with the blood from the heads of people that shed their tears for fear of the terror you bring near with your Pride gear and shooting of the deer, We show you our rears in defiance of your spear, yet you seer us all like xravenousdebrisx: Kareem Abdul Jabal, even though he played basketball. GreenEyes8625: hahah the people do not shed their tears for fear but for affairs of the rarest kind that you will find might put you in a bind and stop you from winning your war of words because i've heard that muhammed didn't say to you but to me that you would rather be dead because i'm so far ahead because the thesaurus is my best friend.. the end!!!!!! xravenousdebrisx: Aha! But it Never ends, just as Isa is the Ibn of Maryam, I'm akin to your sin and I shall find within the jinn, the secret behind Aladdin, and unmask his saudi grin and primate friend so that Ho Chi Minh may once again reign supreme and use his frying machines to cook lean beans and sugary cream to dip the beam of lights from bright bright Shiite fright so that one day you might learn of the plight of the rhymes tonight. GreenEyes8625: you may find the secret behind aladdin but i'll squash jasmin like a bug on the rug of my pimped out car and we'll drive to meet jafar and bring her body to Zanzibar xravenousdebrisx: But from Zanzabar, the Imam will scream "Allahu Akbar", and though it may seem you may not know what he means, in the end. Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. GreenEyes8625: okay you win just because nothing rhymes wtih that lol

Long time, long long longg time. I'm in college. I love every single second of it. I just found out my religion test isn't tommorrow, it's Wednesday, sooo happpyyy. As I pulled up, I saw a white cat in my yard. If that isn't good luck, then I don't know what is. I think I'll buy one for my kids, mmmhmmm. I went to temple/ate waffle house with a foreign exchange studen from Thailand. Her name's Choompoonoot. Her nickname is Duan. In English that's Moon, so everyone calls her moon. It's quite quite hot back here. All of this music is lovely. Speaking of, new band, The Lazarus Heart. (www.myspace.com/lazarusheardband) Landmines has some big plans, fun fun! I don't think I've been this happy and perfectly placed in years. Life is wonderful. I interviewed a Muslim girl a couple of days ago. Shirien Elamawy. They can't listen to music, never knew that. She was beyonddd nicee. I love learning about religions. Wikipedia is soooo helpful. I religiously watch Weeds on Showtime. And occasionaly Johnny Quest at 1:30 AM on Boomerang. I think I'm gonna buy a lapsteel. Demagog is my new favorite word, without the ue. I still don't know what it means, I'll go look it up on Wikipedia in a second. Deftones! Next Month! I'm There! I've been buying lots of records for my kids to enjoy. I got "The Obliterati" by Mission Of Burma the other day. Not too bad. I have a new obsession with Cibo Matto. My hands will forever smell of Black and Green Olives. Gross! Mass amounts of cash flowing in from the Italian Pie. Come visit me! I met up with a bunch of old friends tonight. I lovess peopllesss, especially all of you, and ya'll, and them. i found my 25 dollar Hot Topic Gift Card someone gave me for Graduation. Hahahahaha. Sweet. I was thinking about joining the Peace Corps for a minute after I got out of college, seems like fun! I was looking into studying abroad in Fiji for a semester too. How cool would that be? Freaking Fiji. I have no clue about nothing there. Much less, where it is. The Autumnal Equinox wasn't too long ago. And this weather is Glorius! So what's the story morning glory? I just got my Radiohead cd back from Michael, YAYY! The wheel on my skateboard came off the other day at school. LAmeee. Walking again. I just found out about that paper that they sell, that you can print stuff on, and iron it on your shirt. I'm about to go crazy with it. I'm in love with this one Deftones SNW Girl. The End.
Don't even much play, you know she all kinds of cute. Salaam, Shalom, Peace! And everything in between. Oh yeah! I really like that whole tetragrammaton thing too, it looks cool. YHWH Tehehe.

In retrospect of the past week: I got my nose pierced. We played three shows. Our drummer quit. Meghan's aunt died. Andrew's grandma died. This girl I just met today named Jayden's mom died too. So I think this has been one of the most nerve racking weeks ever, but life goes on. and there's no use crying over spilt milk. Everyone seems not as happy as they used to be. and I'm yearning to talk to all of you people that I haven't in forever. I did see Ben and Sarah Hoyt yesterday, which made my life a lot better. I feel like all the praying in the world isn't going to make anything better, but, it's just been a sketchy week. There's about 2 and a half weeks before we go on a 21 day tour. For the time being, I'm gonna lie low, watch some movies, eat some food, and enjoy the family. I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer, because despite everything, this has been the best one that I've had in a while. My life partner Lee Phan turns 18 in 7 minutes. Chuc Mung Nam Moi. Now I'm off to figure out how to work this PAWS account. lovelovelove.

Soo, I suppose it's time for an update yeah.
First things First, my friend got shot. He seems to be doing okay, but in a lot of pain. Drummonds is a trooper though, and I'm sure he'll make it through okay. What a crazyy wayy to start to the summer. On to happier things now.
Mono So, this past Saturday I decided to head to the Spanish Moon to see the Pelican and Mono show. I've heard a couple of songs by Pelican and they were okay and also a couple from Mono, which I really liked. Anyways, I set off with high hopes. There was an opening band playing when I arrived there called The Life and Times, whom I thought did a great job, especially as an opening band, cause usually those aren't exactly the greatest. Up next came Mono. From the initial first moments of them getting on stage, I had a great feeling about how they were going to be. I've never seen a band interact the way that they did, but then again, I've never seen any Japanese bands live, for all I know this is how they all could be. They never said a single word to each other from what I saw, but they were all so helpful towards one another. Tuning each other's instruments, helping each other set up each others equipment, and just all around niceness that you don't get to see too much out here. As soon as they were set up, they played as little as they could to get the sound check going, staying away from the showoffiness that a lot of bands just loveee to do before they're set. And then began the actual set. Now, just for reference, I've only heard one of their cd's called "Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and The Sun Shined", so of course I was hoping they'd play lots of songs off of that one, which ofcourse they played none, ha. But I still wasn't disappointed. I think they played all of the songs of their newest recording, "You Are There" which was incredible to say that least. I had never heard anything like this before, ever, ever ,ever, and doubt that I will. They're one of those few bands that can express those emotions that don't really have words, except, they're still there, I don't know, I can't really explain it. In fact, I remember during one of the songs, that they basically summed up about 4 years of my life in two chords, which is what I think amazed me the most. They perfectly displayed the earth being created, and destroyed, all in a matter of about two songs. Everything was just simply soo bigg, just much much larger than lifee. I don't get to go to serious shows too often, especially playing in the band that I'm in, but wow Mono left my breathless. I simply couldn't believe everything that just happened after they walked offstage. I never wanted it to end, and the entire time, I was just there, frozen in spot . I couldn't move, and I definitely didn't want to move. Some guy to the left of me fainted during one of the songs, haha. And I felt the earth shake at least twice. I can still remember how stupid I felt when they got off stage, and I was searching through my very very limited supply of Japanese Vocabulary trying to remember if "Konichiwa" or "Arigato" meant thank you, since I heard they too had a very limited English vocabulary. So I settled for a simple "Incredible" with the bassist, as she particularly caught my eye as the cutest. From all my years of interaction with Japanese culture, I've always though to myself that they were amonth the most emotionless of the Asian peoples, but this definitely proved me wrong. I went and bough their newest record. I don't have a record player, haha, but I just really wanted it to be a record. I left immediately after them, knowing that Pelican couldn't have been near as good and didn't listen to any music until my friend came over the next day with his record player so I could check it out, why, because I'm dumb. But I don't care, because I love music and Mono is number one! Yayy, pun.PEACE
